A study of the possibilities of reclining and reposing… Following an allusion to the concept of (ὑγρὰ φύσις) hygra physis, an ancient Greek notion describing the moist, generative force of nature. A phrase encountered while reading Sexual Personae: Camille Paglia revives this term to assert the view that sexuality and life arise from a dark, fluid, and uncontrollable natural power, one that culture may restrain, but never abolish. The origins of the phrase, attested in Moralia by Plutarch, are dated to 100 CE.

Through pure forms and minimal interventions, the design series engages critically with the concept of an end, of a function or a use. Identity, like function, is understood as provisional. Meaning arises from relation and the tension between balance and fragility. Each design exists within a system of reconfigurable parts, capable of extension and inversion, forming new alignments. Magnetically linked, the modules engage through attraction, resisting permanence.
